These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of skinbeam.hk (the "Website") and the online booking services provided by Skin & Beam ("the Clinic", "we"), a medical aesthetics clinic group operating in Causeway Bay, Tsim Sha Tsui and Mong Kok, Hong Kong. By using the Website or making a booking you agree to these Terms.

1. Bookings

Bookings can be made on the Website with phone verification. A booking is confirmed when you receive a confirmation SMS (or email). We may contact you if a requested time becomes unavailable. Bookings made with existing package sessions ("ticket bookings") do not require payment online; sessions are deducted at the clinic on the day of your visit.

2. Prices and Payment

All prices are listed in Hong Kong dollars. Online payments are processed securely by Stripe; we do not store your card number. The price payable is the price displayed at the time of booking. Event prices apply only within the stated event period and conditions.

3. Rescheduling, Cancellation and Refunds

You may reschedule or cancel free of charge up to 24 hours before your appointment — online at skinbeam.hk/manage, or by contacting your clinic. For prepaid bookings cancelled at least 24 hours in advance, the payment is refunded in full to the original payment method (typically within 3–5 business days depending on your card issuer). For cancellations within 24 hours, or missed appointments (no-show), please contact the clinic; refunds in these cases are at the Clinic's discretion. Unattended appointments may be cancelled after the business day ends.

4. Packages and Treatment Sessions

Prepaid packages and sessions are subject to the validity period and conditions stated at purchase, are personal to the named customer and are not transferable unless we agree otherwise. Remaining sessions can be viewed at skinbeam.hk/manage. Session deductions and refunds of partially used packages are handled at the clinic in accordance with the terms of your purchase.

5. Medical Disclaimer

Content on the Website is general information about our treatments and is not medical advice or a diagnosis. The suitability of any treatment is assessed at the clinic through consultation and, where applicable, by a registered medical practitioner. Individual results vary. Minors require the consent of a parent or guardian for treatments.

6. Acceptable Use and Intellectual Property

You agree not to misuse the Website (including making fraudulent bookings or interfering with its operation). All content on the Website, including text, images and branding, belongs to the Clinic or its licensors and may not be reproduced without permission.

7. Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under Hong Kong law. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect losses arising from use of the Website, including temporary unavailability of online booking.

8. General

We may update these Terms from time to time; the version published on this page applies. These Terms are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. If these Terms are translated into other languages, the English version shall prevail.

Skin & Beam ("the Clinic", "we") respects your privacy and complies with the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Cap. 486) of Hong Kong ("PDPO"). This policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

1. Data We Collect

(a) Identity and contact data you provide when booking or registering: name, phone number, email address, date of birth (optional), preferred language. (b) Booking and treatment records: appointments, treatments received, packages and remaining sessions, consultation notes and consent forms. (c) Payment data: payments are processed by Stripe; we record the amount, method and status but never store your full card number. (d) Photographs taken for treatment documentation, only with your consent. (e) CCTV images at our clinics (see the CCTV Policy below). (f) Website data: functional browser storage for your cart, language and sign-in session; and, only if you accept them, analytics and advertising cookies (see section 6).

2. How We Use Your Data

We use personal data to: manage bookings and provide treatments; verify your identity (one-time SMS/email codes); send booking-related notices (confirmations, reminders, changes) by SMS or email; maintain your treatment history for safe and continuous care; process payments and refunds; comply with legal and regulatory obligations; and, only with your consent, send promotional messages (see section 4).

3. Sharing and Processors

We do not sell personal data. We share data only with service providers who process it on our behalf: Stripe (payments), Amazon Web Services (hosting, databases and email delivery), Netlify (website hosting), Emma (SMS delivery in Hong Kong), and — only if you consent to advertising cookies — Meta and Google for advertising and analytics purposes. Some providers store data outside Hong Kong; we require appropriate safeguards. We may disclose data where required by law.

4. Direct Marketing (PDPO Part VI A)

We send promotional messages (events and offers) by SMS, email or WhatsApp only if you have opted in. You can withdraw consent at any time — free of charge — by replying STOP to a message, adjusting your preferences at skinbeam.hk/manage, telling our staff, or emailing welcome@skinbeam.hk. Booking-related notices (confirmations, reminders) are not marketing and are sent regardless.

5. Retention

Treatment and medical records are retained in accordance with applicable Hong Kong requirements and professional practice. Marketing preferences are kept until you withdraw consent. Data that is no longer needed is deleted or anonymised.

6. Cookies and Similar Technologies

The Website uses functional browser storage that is necessary for it to work: your treatment cart, language choice, sign-in session ("keep me signed in" uses local storage on your device) and your cookie choice itself. These do not track you across other websites. Analytics and advertising cookies (such as Google Analytics or the Meta Pixel) are used only if you accept them via the cookie notice; they help us measure site usage and advertising. You can change your choice at any time by clearing your browser storage for this site. Stripe sets its own cookies within the payment form for fraud prevention.

7. Security

Access to personal data is restricted to staff who need it, protected by authentication, encryption in transit and audit logging. No system is perfectly secure; we act promptly on any suspected incident.

8. Your Rights

Under the PDPO you may request access to, and correction of, your personal data. Requests can be made to welcome@skinbeam.hk; we may verify your identity and may charge a reasonable fee for data access requests as permitted by the PDPO. You may also complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data (pcpd.org.hk).

9. Changes and Contact

We may update this policy; the version on this page applies. If translated, the English version prevails. Contact: welcome@skinbeam.hk, or any of our clinics in Causeway Bay, Tsim Sha Tsui and Mong Kok.

Our clinics operate CCTV in reception and common areas, and in certain treatment areas, for the safety of customers and staff, prevention of crime, and the safe operation of medical equipment. Cameras are not installed in changing areas or washrooms.

CCTV images are accessible only to authorised staff, retained for a limited period, and then automatically overwritten, unless retention is required for an investigation or by law. CCTV data is handled in accordance with the PDPO; you may make an access request regarding footage of yourself via welcome@skinbeam.hk.
